This page explains, in plain words, what personal information Sama’ati (سمّاعتي) collects when you use samaati.com, why we collect it, and how we look after it. If you have any question, you can contact us at any time — our details are at the end of this page.

Who we are

Sama’ati is a hearing-care shop in Lebanon. We sell hearing aids, accessories and care products, and we offer hearing tests by appointment. Our website is samaati.com.

What information we collect

When you place an order on our website, we ask for:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your delivery address
  • Any notes you add to your order

If you create an account on our website, we also keep your login details (your username and a protected password) so you can sign in again.

If you contact us on WhatsApp, by email or on Instagram — for example to ask a question or to book a hearing test — we receive the information you choose to send us, such as your name, your phone number and your message.

When you browse our website, we also collect information about how you use it, such as the pages you visit and the products you view, through cookies and the Meta Pixel (see Cookies below).

We do not ask for card or bank details on our website: all orders are paid in cash on delivery.

Why we use your information

  • To prepare your order and deliver it to you
  • To contact you about your order — for example, to confirm it or to arrange delivery
  • To answer your questions and to arrange the hearing tests or consultations you ask for
  • To measure how our advertising performs and to show you relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram, through the Meta Pixel (see Cookies below)
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping sales records

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. Our website uses the cookies it needs to work:

  • Shopping cart and session cookies (WooCommerce) — they remember what is in your cart while you shop and check out.
  • Language cookie (TranslatePress) — it remembers whether you chose English or Arabic.
  • Login cookies (WordPress) — they keep you signed in if you have an account.

We also use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to measure how our ads perform and to show relevant ads. It uses cookies and may send Meta information such as the pages you visit and the products you view or buy. You can control this in your browser settings and in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout may not work without them.

Who we share your information with

We only share your information in these cases:

  • The people who deliver your order receive your name, phone number, delivery address and order details.
  • Our hosting provider, Hostinger, stores our website and its data on its servers.
  • Meta receives information through the Meta Pixel, as explained in the Cookies section above.

We may also share information if the law requires us to.

How long we keep your information

We keep your order information for 10 years, so that we can handle any questions, returns or warranty requests, and to meet our legal obligations. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Show you the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date
  • Delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it (for example, sales records)

To make a request, email us at info@samaati.com. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on your request.

Children

Orders should be placed by adults. If a hearing aid or a hearing test is for a child, a parent or guardian should place the order or make the booking. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new services to our website. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
